CHAMBER music series
Fishin’ in C brings the greatest music and internationally renowned artists to Fishtown in a way that brings the community together as a place of joy, camaraderie, inspiration, and fun. With a wide range of musical offerings including classical, jazz, pop, crossover, and more, Fishin' seeks to provide an oasis of musical arts and culture to Fishtown and the greater Philadelphia community.

“PictureS” - music with projected IMAGES pictures by Hartmann AND FOOTAGE BY PIXAR
Music and art join forces in this colorful program of works inspired by paintings and scenes! Mussorgsky's famous Pictures at an Exhibition is presented here in its original version for solo piano with the paintings that inspired it projected in the background. Debussy's iconic Poisson d'Or is juxtaposed with footage from Pixar's classic Finding Nemo.

“Mysteries of the Orient” - music of the exotic, paired with silent film
Slip into a fever-dream of the far East. Explore the land that captured so many composers' imagination as we take you to Java, Sumatra, Borneo, China, and Spain. This scintillating journey features Ernest Bloch's massive Suite depicting travels in the Orient, excerpts from Debussy's Preludes and Images inspired by the Javanese Gamelan, and Albeniz' journey to the summer nights of Spain in the darkly gleaming Navarra.

“Fishin' in the North Sea” - music of England and Germany
Join us in Northern Europe as we go fishing for a musical feast in the North Sea, the body of water connecting England and Germany! Enjoy such masterworks as Bach's 3rd Gamba Sonata, Schumann's Fantasiestücke, Rebecca Clarke's Viola Sonata, York Bowen's Phantasy, and Beethoven's 32 Variations.

"Heifetz on tour"- music of string family
"Fishin' in C" presents Heifetz International Music Institute, with all things strings featured in this special program! This full-length, two part concert includes solo works for violin, viola, cello and piano in the first half as well as chamber works by Piazzolla and Fauré in the second.

A celebration of the centenary of Debussy's passing! Debussy waxes rhapsodic in the two Rhapsodies for saxophone and viola, accompanied by selections from his rarely performed Trio in G major and his celebrated Preludes.

Special edition "The Last Soiree" - *Cocktail Attire* (mask and costume welcome)
We are delighted to announce our special edition of The Last Soirée, a unique multi-genre performing arts series centered around classical music. Based on the 19th century salon, The Last Soirée is an interactive artistic melange of music, poetry, dance and theater seeking to re-create the class, atmosphere, and artistic camaraderie of a nobler time.
