The Last Soirée
The Last SOIRéE
An innovative new multi-genre performing arts series
For many years, human beings have fantasized about inventing a machine by which to travel through time. We will take you on a journey to a forgotten era. In reverence to the customs of the time, these creative carnivals will not be limited to music; readings from poetry and theater, dancing, and paintings are all standard fare. Expect a fully immersive experience that will leave attendees feeling as though they have visited another epoch.
THE LAST SOIRÉE was created from Zhenni Li's dream of a return to a time when art was synonymous with friendship, intimacy and community, and to provide an alternative to the inherent isolation of the modern concert hall. THE LAST SOIRÉE is unique in the quality of art, festivity of atmosphere and cameraderie of the spirit, with audience participation in speech and song as well as the intrinsic emotion of the human heart.
A worldwide performance series, THE LAST SOIRÉE features continually shifting themes; no two editions are exactly alike. Conceived as an intimate, exclusive community of artists and art lovers, THE LAST SOIRÉE is more than a performance series; expect the unexpected, and prepare to be surprised.
Our Premiére edition, À LA SCHUBERTIADE, will take place in New York this spring on Saturday, May 5th at 7pm. Come and partake of good cheer - amazing music, literature, dance, historic ambience and, of course, complimentary food and wine!
